Good afternoon Colonel Irvine School Community,
下午好! 学文学校社区,
We hope this year-end message finds you well as we say farewell to the 2023-24 school year. We'd like to thank you for your support throughout the school year. This week we hosted a wonderful Grade 9 Farewell and our awards ceremonies. As mentioned then, it was wonderful to see so many of you in attendance.
Today, we celebrated the end of the year with a luncheon funded by the School Council. It was delicious and we appreciate this time together as it is not often that we all get to sit and enjoy lunch as a big group. Many of you donated money to this lunch, provided door prizes or sent in end of the year gifts for office staff, teachers and us. Thank you to you all. It is very generous of you and we are grateful.
Thanks to our teachers who work tirelessly throughout the year. We’d also like to thank all the staff who support our school in different ways—our team in the office, our Facility Operator and Cleaners, our Librarian, Lunch Supervisors and Support Worker who all care for our students and work to ensure they have a wonderful and safe place to learn.
For those of you who have students moving onto high school and so are no longer with us, we wish your student and yourselves all the best as you navigate high school and the wonderful opportunities it offers for students and their learning. For families returning and our new families you will recieve one more message with back to school information.
Finally, we would like to bid a special farewell to our grade 9 students and families and those not returning to us next year. We hope you will cherish the memories that you made at the school, and we wish you well in your future endeavors. May you all have a good transition to your new school in the fall.
We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable summer. We look forward to connecting and working with you again in September. The school office will re-open on August 26th if you need assistance before the start of the school year.
Ms. Ko & Ms. Dalwood
