It was great to see all the pink shirts for anti-bullying day on Wednesday and the Grade 9’s dressed up for their farewell photos. If a grade 9 student missed their grade 9 farewell photos this week and would like to get them done, you can still book an appointment with Lifetouch at their studio. The details are below. 

Thank you to all parents and guardians for attending parent/teacher conferences. If you were not able to book an appointment with your child’s teachers, please contact them via email.  

A reminder to please return all Letter of Intent forms to the office by March 13^th. If your family has misplaced the form, a replacement can be picked up from the office. Forms may also be emailed directly to cjroberts@cbe.ab.ca 

Lastly, Mr. Ferguson will be on leave starting March 2^nd.  Mr. Jayme McDonald will be our acting assistant principal in his absence. He comes to us with a variety of experiences. We’d like to welcome him to our school community.

Provincial Achievement Tests 

We want to confirm that Grade 6 and 9 students will write Provincial Achievement Tests in May and June. The dates of these exams are below. Please be aware that students cannot write these exams ahead of time. We will share many more details closer to the May writing date. During these tests, no phones or wearable technology (watches, earbuds) are permitted in the exam rooms.  

May 21 – Grade 9 English Language Arts Part A 

May 25 – Grade 6 English Language Arts Part A 

June 4 – Grade 6 English Language Arts Part B 

June 9 – Grade 9 English Language Arts Part B 

June 11 – Grade 6 Social Studies

With many thanks to donations from President’s Choice Children’s Charity and Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids, we can offer healthy lunches for students who need them. We have sandwiches, snacks, fruits, and vegetables available. Please let your child know if they need food or just a little extra, they’re welcome to come to the office during lunchtime.

Yoga Afterschool 

There is yoga offered by Ms. Smith, afterschool on the following dates:
