The Week Ahead - November 27

Good afternoon, Colonel Irvine School Community.

下午好! 学文学校社区

We would like to thank all of you who joined us for Parent-Student-Teacher Interviews this week. It was nice to connect with familiar faces and meet new ones. We look forward to continuing these conversations throughout the year. If you were not able to connect with the teachers and would still like to, please reach out by email to the teachers directly. We did have some questions about how parents/guardians can access student marks in myCBE. Here is a link to Frequently Asked Questions about MyCBE and the second question explains how to access marks.

We would also like to thank those Grade 9 parent/guardians that joined us for the drop-in high school information sessions and/or the West Coast trip session. As shared when we know more about high school designations for next Fall we will let you know.

It is hard to believe that we are four weeks away from the Winter Break. As in previous Decembers, we will be participating in the annual Mayors Food Drive. We will collect non-perishable food donations between December 12th and December 22nd. Our Leadership students are working on an advertising campaign, and we will share more next week. If you are in need an emergency hamper, please visit https://www.calgaryfoodbank.com/needfood/

Thank you for your continued support,

Ms. Ko and Ms. Dalwood

Updated: High School:

Thank you to parents for asking questions about this section. I would like to clarify that school tours happen during the day time and are for students only. At this point we are planning to take designated students on the daytime tours at Fowler, Diefenbaker and North Trail High schools on tours during the school day. If your student is designated to another high school and you’d like them to go on the daytime tour, you will need to get them to the school and call in their attendance. Open Houses for all schools occur in the evenings and are a chance for parents and students to go and tour the school together.
