Happy New Year and Welcome Back!

Good afternoon, Colonel Irvine School Community.

We hope the winter break was good for our students and families. This is our first message of the new year.  Volleyball tryouts started this week and team selections will be completed by next week. Thank you to all students who came out. It was great to see the amount of interest in the sport. It is so positive to see so many students wanting to be involved in school activities.

Please mark on your calendars for our lunar new year celebration. It’ll be on Thursday, January 23. There will be 2 performances starting at 5:30 pm with our grades 5/6 classes performing and at 7:15 pm for our grades 7-9 classes performing. We will send out another message specifically for this closer to the date. We are looking for some parent/guardian support with this event. Sign up here

Thank you to all the parents/guardians and others who are volunteering at the casino this weekend. We still have some back-up spots that need filling, these are in case someone cannot attend for any reason. Sign up here.

Just a reminder that our office hours are from 8am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday, and 8am-2pm Friday. The phones are not answered after these times.

Thank you as always for your support.

Ms. Ko and Ms. Dalwood

High School Transfers may be granted for Educational Program or Sequence of Courses Requests. A parent/legal guardian /independent student can request for a student to transfer to another CBE high school for the next school year for one of the following reasons:

  • To enroll in an education program not offered at the student's designated school (e.g. International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme or Advanced Placement (AP) ; CBe-learn or
  • To take a sequence of courses up to the 30-level that is not offered at the student's designated school (e.g. cosmetology, welding and fabrication, culinary arts, and auto mechanics).

You can only choose one program, or one sequence of courses, as the reason for your transfer request. Please note transfer requests are not available yet for Fall 2025. When they are we will link them in this section.
