Good afternoon, Colonel Irvine School community.
下午好! 学文学校社区,
Each year, the Lunar New Year celebration is organized by a committee of teachers and students for all students to enjoy and usually includes performances, a parade and snacks. This year our lunar new year celebration will take place on Thursday, January 23. On Thursday, all students will have an opportunity to watch at least one of the performances, there will be a dragon parade and activities in the afternoon. The Mandarin program students have been making props and rehearsing, and we are so excited to celebrate this day with all the students and for the evening celebration with families. We will send out another message to Mandarin program parents next week with more specific details. Please plan to allow time to find parking.
We will be hosting an online session for grade 9 parent/guardians with regards to high school transitions on Wednesday, February 5 at 6:00pm. Attendance is optional, however, if you have questions regarding transfers, course recommendations, lotteries and programming we will answer these then. The link to join is in high school section below. We also strongly encourage you to attend the open house of your designated high school to engage in conversation with them as well.
As always, thank you for your continued support. Together we can make a difference in keeping each other and our learning environment safe.
Ms. Ko & Ms. Dalwood
