We had a great last day before the break with lots of fun had by all. Lots of activities, food and some dancing. Whether you are celebrating Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Christmas, Winter Solstice or just the break, we hope all students and families get a chance to reconnect and relax over the break.   We look forward to working with you in the New Year. Volleyball try-outs start right after the break, please see below for details.

Volleyball Tryouts and Season Information 

Volleyball tryouts will begin the first week back from Winter Break (6th, 2024). The season will come to an end March 24th, 2024. Girls will have their tryouts on Monday and Wednesday, and the boys will have their tryouts on Tuesday and Thursday. Girls game nights are Tuesday and Thursday, and boys game nights are Monday and Wednesdays. The each Jr. And Sr. Teams will play 1 game during their game nights and be done by 6 pm.

Yoga – After School – same information as last week 

"Looking for a new way to improve wellness, decrease stress, and make new friends?  Colonel Irvine Yoga club is a free after-school club open to all students.  The club offers a weekly yoga practice from 3:15-4:00pm one day a week.  Schedules are posted for each month in advance.  Mats are available for use and no experience is necessary.  Students must have a signed permission form to participate.  Please contact Ms. Smith at aesmith@cbe.ab.ca for further information."

High School Information - No new information this week

At our evening sessions we said we would share more information with you about several programs that are available to student for high school including academic enrichment programs like International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP), Athletic Enrichment, Art Programs, Trades, Dual Credit etc. Please see the link below for overviews of all these programs with links to more specific information for each one.
